Week 8, Day 1 and 2

I was kind of lazy this week. I’ve lost a tiny bit of motivation. This is going to sound corny but I need to hop on pinterest and find some quotes or stuff to get me going again 🙂

I skipped my swim on Tuesday and had no desire to go before or after spin class on Wednesday. :/

I had some dental work done on Wednesday morning and totally did not want to go to spin class after that. But I did. It was ok. I didn’t eat much before the class so I was weak and totally felt like blahhhh. I struggled.

I know that sometimes that happens. It just hasn’t happened like that yet.

I swam this morning. I made sure I made 2:00 100’s with 10 seconds rest. That was it. I was tired and it felt good. Most of my frustrations from this morning were gone within that 23 minutes. 100 w/u 8×100’s 10 secs rest and no c/d.

I have a 5k tomorrow. Except my knee hurts a bit today. I think I’ll try and tape it. I was hoping to run a PR tomorrow or close to it. But I think I might take it easy and just push L in the stroller.

That’s it for now. Getting quotes and motivation together. I’ll print some off.

Week 4, Day 3 and 4!

I kind of slacked last week with posting about my workouts… So I will try and catch up before this weeks workouts catch up to me!

Wednesday- I went to spin class and then ran 5ish minutes with Mar. Spin class was awesome! We got to ride at a 10! I wore my watch and HRM.  I would like to figure out what my target rates should be… I hit 162 as my highest. But I have no idea what that means. I will do some research and try to figure out what I should know.

Thursday- Rest day. Was hoping to run but it rained. But I guess I kind of ran… I ran through the rain to grab the train, then off the train to the bus, the bus to dinner, dinner to the bus, the bus to the train, and then the train back into school.

Friday- Swim. 100 W/u, 10X75 20 seconds rest, 100 C/d total 950yds. Swim was awesome 9 out of 10 75’s! I was clocking in 1:20-1:25 75’s! I like that I am feeling fast and feeling strong. I know I’m not quite that fast… But eh it’s a start!

Week 4 Day 5 was a doozy while it was happening but looking back it wasn’t that big a deal! See the next post for my recap!

Week 1 Day 2- Biking aka Spin class right now

My Ragnar Captain Marcella joined me at spin class today! I pushed myself but I’m still not sure what my 6, 7, 8 PE is… Still working on that one. 10 mins in we were climbing and I was pouring sweat- so I must’ve been doing something right.

After 45mins of spin I went and ran around the track for half a mile just to get the feel of biking and then immediately running. If I had done a longer run I think I could consider it as my first brick workout. Mar’s pace is so quick so it was tough to keep up for more than .5 mile.

I have a 10k race on saturday so I won’t be running the rest of the week. I will still be doing my swim workout on Friday!
